Terms of Service

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms form the agreement between you (the customer) and Cooling Co when you book any air-conditioning service from us, whether by phone, WhatsApp, our website form or in person. By confirming a booking you accept these terms.

2. Booking and confirmation

A booking is confirmed when we tell you a slot and you accept it. Response-time bands shown on our area pages are targets based on distance from our base in RK Hegde Nagar, not guarantees. Traffic, weather and demand during peak summer can extend them. If we are going to be late, we will tell you.

We serve Bengaluru only. If your address falls outside the areas listed on our service areas page, tell us before booking and we will confirm whether we can reach you.

3. Pricing and quotes

• Prices published on this website are starting rates for standard work on a standard unit. They exclude spare parts and refrigerant gas unless the service page says otherwise.
• The technician inspects the unit and confirms the final price before starting work. If the job turns out to need more than quoted, we stop and ask you first.
• You are never charged for work you did not approve.
• Where a diagnostic or inspection fee applies, it is stated on the relevant service page. On some services that fee is waived if you proceed with the repair — the service page says which.
• Corporate and commercial work is quoted per site after a free survey.
• Prices may change without notice, but the price quoted for your confirmed booking is the price you pay.

4. Payment

Payment is due after the work is complete and the cooling has been tested in front of you. We accept cash, UPI and card. A GST-compliant invoice is issued for every job.

For AMCs and larger corporate contracts, payment terms are set out in the contract itself and may require payment in advance or in instalments.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

If we cancel or cannot attend, you pay nothing and we will offer the next available slot.

6. Warranty on work and parts

Repairs and workmanship. Our repair labour is warranted for 6 months from the date of service. If the same fault recurs within that period, we will return and fix it at no labour charge.

New installations. Installation workmanship — bracket mounting, copper piping, flaring and leak testing — is warranted for 1 year from the date of installation.

Gas refilling. Where we have fixed a leak and refilled, the refill is warranted for 6 months against a recurrence of that same leak.

Spare parts. Parts carry the manufacturer's or supplier's warranty, which we pass on to you in full. The period varies by part and is stated on your invoice. We hand back the replaced part so you can verify the work.

The warranty does not cover: faults caused by other parties working on the unit afterwards, physical damage, power surges, water ingress, rodent damage, or continued use of a unit we advised you to stop using.

7. Annual Maintenance Contracts

• An AMC covers the specific units listed in the contract, at the specific address listed.
• Scheduled services are carried out at intervals set out in your plan. We contact you to arrange each one.
• Breakdown call-outs during the contract carry no call-out charge. Spare parts and gas remain chargeable unless your plan states otherwise.
• AMCs are non-transferable to another address or owner without our written agreement.
• If you cancel an AMC mid-term, we may deduct the value of services already used at standard per-visit rates before refunding the balance.

8. Your responsibilities

• Provide safe access to the unit, including to outdoor units. Where an outdoor unit needs ladder access at height or rope access, tell us when booking so we can send the right equipment.
• Ensure an adult is present at the address for the duration of the visit.
• Tell us about any known prior repairs, modifications or existing damage to the unit.
• Provide power and water access where the job requires it, such as jet cleaning.
• Move fragile or valuable items away from the work area before we arrive.

9. Limits of our liability

We take responsibility for damage we directly cause through our negligence while carrying out work, and we will repair or make good such damage.

We are not responsible for: pre-existing faults or damage we did not cause; failure of a unit that was already at end of life and which we advised you about; consequential losses such as spoiled food, lost business or alternative cooling costs; or delays caused by circumstances outside our control.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other rights that cannot be limited by agreement under Indian law.

10. Complaints and disputes

If you are unhappy with any work, contact us within 7 days of the visit on +91 93538 67510 or service@coolingco.in. We will respond within 3 working days and, where the complaint is upheld, return to put it right at no charge.

If we cannot resolve it between us, you may refer the matter to the consumer forum having jurisdiction in Bengaluru.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
